Powered by AI, it automatically corrects grammar, spelling, and formatting—like adjusting headings, fixing capitalization, and smoothing sentence flow. You can use Clean Up on any note—including voice notes and those created through the Mem Chrome Extension.How to Use Clean Up

Click the broom icon
To start, open any existing note in the Mem app. Tap into the note to bring up the keyboard and Mem toolbar menu. Tap the broom icon, the first one on the left of the toolbar menu.

Start Clean Up
Click the broom icon, and the Cleanup process will begin immediately.

Review suggested changes
When processing is complete, you’ll see suggested improvements:* Blue text: AI’s suggested changes* Red cross-out: Text detected for removal or correction

Choose an option
Under Clean Up at the top right, you’ll find these choices:
* Refine: Run Clean Up again if you want more edits* Accept: Apply the changes to your note* X: Cancel and keep your original note

Refine the edits
You can enter instructions in the Refine box on how you would like to improve the edits, i.e., Rewrite this note in a professional manner.

Accept the edits
If you’re happy with the suggestions, click Accept. Your note will instantly update with the new changes.

Yes. Clean Up can automatically format headings, lists, and spacing to make your note more structured. Can I undo or revert edits after accepting them?
Yes. If you don’t like the edits, you can always undo them using Mem’s undo function or restore from your note’s version history. What happens if I click “Refine” multiple times?
