FAQs

How many files can I import at once?

Import up to about 1,000 files at a time. For larger libraries, split into batches.

What should I do if dragging and dropping doesn’t work?

Restart the app and try again. If your export is zipped, unzip first, then drag in the .md/.txt files.

Do folder structures come over?

No. Mem imports individual notes. Recreate grouping with Collections after the import.

What happens to images or attachments in my notes?

Attachments aren’t imported with the note. Upload them separately (e.g., Google Drive) and add links.

Can I import Word docs or Google Docs directly?

Not yet. Export or copy them to Markdown or plain text first, then import.

I see duplicates—how do I clean them up?

Multi‑select duplicates from the imported list and delete in bulk. Originals in other apps aren’t affected.

What if I lose internet connection during import?

Pause/reconnect and re‑start the import to complete it.
