Overview
If you can describe it, you can find it. Search in Mem works in three tiers, so you can quickly jump to known notes or discover the right ones—even when you don’t remember exact keywords.1) Search as you type (typeahead)
- iOS: tap the Search tab
- Web/Desktop: click the search bar (or press Cmd + K)
- As you type, Mem suggests notes based on title matches—a fast way to jump when you recall a word in the title
2) Submit to full results
- If the right note isn’t in suggestions, press Enter (or tap the search icon on iOS) to open the full results page
- Use filters and keyword matches to narrow results
3) Deep Search (AI‑powered)
- On the results page, Deep Search highlights matches where your description semantically matches note contents
- This finds what you meant, not just the exact words
- Toggle Deep Search on/off at the bottom of the results if you want to focus on exact keyword matches
